PRIVACY & TRUST

Privacy policy.

How we collect, use and look after information shared with LAPCOVE.

Last updated: 15 October 2026

LAPCOVE values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Deyang Shenghui Technology Co., Ltd., operating the LAPCOVE brand ("LAPCOVE", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, holds, uses and shares personal information when you visit https://lapcove.com, create a customer account, place an order, request updates or contact us. Our website is intended primarily for customers in Australia.

1. Who we are

LAPCOVE is operated by Deyang Shenghui Technology Co., Ltd., a company registered in the People's Republic of China.

Website: https://lapcove.com
Privacy and customer enquiries: info@lapcove.com

2. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact and delivery details: name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address that you provide.
  • Customer account information: account identifier, username or display name, saved addresses, account preferences and information needed to manage access. Passwords are managed through our website's account security systems. Please do not send us your password by email.
  • Orders and customer support: products, quantities, order values and status, order and delivery details, customer service enquiries, returns, refunds and correspondence.
  • Enquiries and updates: information you submit through contact forms, messages or any optional product-update signup made available on the site.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, session identifiers, cookies and website or security logs that may be generated during site use.
  • Other information you choose to provide: for example, a product review, if that feature is available.

We do not request sensitive personal information for ordinary account registration or shopping. Please avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information in messages or forms.

3. How we collect information

We collect personal information directly from you when you register, order, update your account, contact us or submit a form. Certain technical and session information may be generated automatically when you use our website. We may also receive information from service providers involved in a service you request, where those providers are used.

You can browse much of the site without registering. If you do not provide information required for an account, order or enquiry, we may not be able to provide the relevant service.

4. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Create, administer and secure accounts, including login, account notices and password-reset requests.
  • Process and manage purchases, customer enquiries, order records, delivery arrangements, returns and refunds where those services are available.
  • Communicate with you about your account, an order, a support request or an update you requested.
  • Operate, maintain, protect, troubleshoot and improve the website and its services.
  • Maintain appropriate business records, prevent misuse and meet applicable legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
  • Send promotional communications only when permitted by applicable law and where any required consent has been obtained.

5. Customer accounts and guest orders

LAPCOVE allows customers to check out without creating an account. A guest order is not necessarily linked to an account that is created later. Before linking past orders to an account or disclosing order details, we may need to verify that the requester is entitled to access the information.

Where supported, you can use the My Account area to review orders associated with your account and update account details and saved addresses. Delivery and tracking information depends on the services and information actually available for your order.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies and similar technologies to support functions such as account login, shopping carts, checkout sessions, security and website operation. These may include cookies used by WordPress and WooCommerce. Blocking or clearing these cookies may affect the way the site works.

If we introduce optional analytics, advertising measurement or remarketing technologies, we will review the relevant data practices, update this policy as appropriate and provide notice or choices where required. Your browser may also provide controls for managing cookies.

7. Account emails and marketing communications

We may send service-related emails, including account creation, password setup or reset, order notifications and replies to enquiries. Such messages are separate from promotional marketing.

Creating an account or providing an email address for an order does not by itself subscribe you to advertising or a newsletter. If we offer optional marketing updates, we will explain the signup and handle consent and unsubscribe requests as required by applicable law. You can opt out of promotional messages through the unsubscribe method provided or by writing to info@lapcove.com. Essential account, order and support messages may still be sent.

8. When we share information

We may share information as reasonably necessary with:

  • Hosting, backup and technical support providers, including Hostinger, to run, protect and restore our website.
  • Email and communications service providers involved in delivering customer and website emails.
  • Payment providers, if and when we enable online payments, to process transactions.
  • Delivery, fulfilment and returns providers, if and when needed to complete a customer order.
  • Professional advisers, regulators or authorities, where necessary or required or permitted by applicable law.

We do not regard account registration as permission to sell customers' contact details to unrelated organisations for their own marketing. Our service-provider arrangements may change as the business develops, and we will update this policy when a material change affects how personal information is handled.

9. International processing and storage

LAPCOVE is operated by a company based in China, and authorised personnel may access information as needed to operate the website and respond to customer requests. Our current website hosting location is North Carolina, United States, and the website backup location shown by our hosting provider is Boston, United States.

Email, support and other service providers may process or access information in locations associated with their services. Where the Australian Privacy Principles or other applicable laws apply, we will address relevant overseas handling and disclosure obligations. You may contact us for information about our current service arrangements.

10. Retention, backups and security

We keep personal information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes explained in this policy, taking into account account and order administration, customer service, disputes and applicable record-keeping requirements. We will assess when information should be deleted, de-identified or otherwise securely disposed of, subject to legitimate retention obligations.

Our current WooCommerce configuration does not set fixed automatic deletion periods for inactive customer accounts or pending, failed, cancelled, refunded and completed orders. Consequently, these records are not automatically deleted solely because a specified number of days or months has passed. We will review retention arrangements as our store operations develop and assess individual privacy requests in light of applicable requirements.

Our website is backed up daily for recovery purposes. Deleted or changed information may remain in backup copies until those copies are rotated or removed under the hosting provider's backup arrangements.

We take reasonable steps to safeguard personal information against misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Access, correction and deletion requests

You may ask us to provide access to or correct personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to consider deletion or other privacy requests. We will review requests in accordance with applicable law, including obligations to preserve certain transaction or business records.

You can update certain details through My Account. For other requests, email info@lapcove.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before giving access, changing details or disclosing account or order records.

12. Questions and privacy complaints

If you have a concern or complaint about our handling of personal information, please email info@lapcove.com with the relevant details. We will review the matter and respond within a reasonable time.

Where the Australian Privacy Act applies, and you remain dissatisfied after raising a complaint with us, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Further information is available at oaic.gov.au.

13. Third-party websites and children

Our website may link to third-party sites with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to check those policies when leaving LAPCOVE.

Our products and website are not specifically directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review the matter.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, technologies or legal obligations change. The most recent version will appear on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or choices for material changes.
